What the maxi class gives you. 28 hp at 7,250 rpm and 29.0 Nm at 5,750 rpm — where a 125 cc scooter runs out of breath on a climb two-up, the XMAX still has enough left to overtake. Route 402 at 110 km/h, the Sarasin Bridge in a crosswind, Promthep at sunset and the Old Town in a single day. A 13 litre tank at about 3.1 litres per 100 km gives roughly 400 km of range — the whole island on one fill.

Yes. At 292 cc it is a full motorcycle: you need a category A licence plus an International Driving Permit. Without them the checkpoint fine starts at 500 ฿, and no helmet is up to 2,000 ฿.
