A calm beach, villas among the greenery and not a single shopping mall — without a bike Kamala quickly turns into a golden cage. We bring the bike to your villa, delivery is free.
Kamala is the quiet, family end of the west coast, one headland away from Patong. The same families come back to it year after year for exactly that reason. Laem Sing is the next small bay along, tucked under the headland, and the shopping is either north past Porto de Phuket or over the hill at Jungceylon in Patong. Phuket FantaSea, the evening show, is in Kamala itself, so the district fills up after dark and is quiet again by morning.
The road between Kamala and Patong climbs over a hill with a viewpoint on the way — a small attraction in itself, and the first real gradient many riders meet. Head north instead and it flattens out completely. You get both in one district: an easy run to the shops, and a climb and a descent every time you go towards Patong. If you have tickets for the evening show, count on riding home in the dark, when that hill is quiet and poorly lit.
The hill decides this one. Honda PCX 160 has the engine to take the climb with a passenger without dropping to a crawl, holds its line on the way down, and its headlight earns its keep on the ride back at night. Stay inside Kamala — beach, shops, dinner, home — and the Click 160 is all the bike the day needs. Neither one asks for experience you do not have. If the hill road is new to you, set the route before you pull away: the turn-offs arrive faster than you expect.
Kamala is the opposite of Patong, just one hill away: a calm family beach, villas and condos among the greenery, an unhurried rhythm. Families with children and winter-stayers who want peace and quiet live here — and that's exactly why a bike is essential: Kamala has no malls or nightlife of its own.
The maths is simple: Central and Jungceylon are over the hill in Patong (20 minutes), Boat Avenue and Porto de Phuket are 15 minutes to the north, and Laem Sing beach — one of the island's prettiest little coves — is 7 minutes towards Surin. Grab takes a long time to reach Kamala and costs a lot, and there are few tuk-tuks. Without your own transport the area quickly becomes a "golden cage".
The area's bonus is Phuket Fantasea: the island's main evening show is right here, 5 minutes from the beach. And the Kamala–Patong road over the hill with its viewpoint is a little attraction in itself.

Say the code word "KAMALA" when booking. Wintering here? A month starts from 3,500 ฿, terms on the monthly rental page.
Yes, delivery across Kamala is free — to your hotel, villa or condo. Our base is in Patong just over the hill, with a second point in Bang Tao: 15–20 minutes to you. Paperwork on the spot takes 5 minutes.
Kamala is the most family-friendly part of the coast, and most of our guests here take a Honda PCX 160 or ADV160: smooth, stable, with room for a second helmet. We bring a kids' helmet on request — just tell us your child's age when booking.
The Fantasea show park is right in Kamala — 5 minutes by bike from the beach. Bike parking at the entrance is free. Heading back after the evening show, the road is lit and the ride is easy.
A serpentine over the hill with a viewpoint by a clifftop cafe: 20 minutes, scenic but with blind corners. In the evening and in rain it's twice as slow. A checkpoint occasionally sits on the descent into Patong — helmet and a category A licence are required.
Yes, a month runs from 3,500 ฿ for a Honda Click to 15,000 ฿ for an XMAX 2026, with free servicing and a replacement bike if it breaks down. Details and terms for 3+ months are on the monthly rental page.
Yes. To ride a motorbike in Thailand you need an international driving permit with category A. Without it the fine at a police checkpoint is usually 500 ฿ to 1,000 ฿, and the insurance will not pay after an accident.
No. We take a cash deposit of 2,500 ฿ to 5,000 ฿ only and never keep your passport — it stays with you for the whole rental.
The price drops in five steps: 1–3 days, 3–6 days, 7–11 days, 12–17 days and 18–23 days. A Yamaha Fino 125 costs 250 ฿ a day on a short rental and 150 ฿ a day from 18 days.
The lowest daily rate in the fleet is the Yamaha Fino 125 from 18 days: 150 ฿ a day. The Yamaha Grand Filano 125 costs 250 ฿ a day for 18–23 days against 300 ฿ on the first three days.
We work like a scooter supermarket: 10 models from 150 ฿ to 800 ฿ a day. The budget end is the Yamaha Grand Filano 125 from 150 ฿ a day and the Yamaha Fino 125 from 150 ฿ a day on a long rental.
The premium end is the Yamaha XMAX 2026 from 500 ฿ a day and the Honda ADV160 2026 from 300 ฿ a day on a long rental. There is a model for every wallet.
Thailand drives on the left and a helmet is mandatory for the rider and the passenger. Police checkpoints ask for the international driving permit: the fine without category A is 500 ฿ to 1,000 ฿.
In the rainy season the road is at its most slippery during the first 10 minutes of a downpour — slow down and keep more distance.
Send us the model, address and dates. We reply with the exact price and bring the bike and helmets — free delivery, kids' helmet on request.
