What the bike is. The NMAX 155 runs Yamaha's 155 cc liquid-cooled Blue Core engine with VVA: 15.1 hp at 8,000 rpm and 14.0 Nm at 6,500 rpm. The engine numbers are not the point though — the geometry is. A 1,340 mm wheelbase is the longest of any 155–160 cc bike we keep, on wide 110/70-13 and 130/70-13 tyres.
What that means on the road. On Route 402 towards the airport it tracks straight, and crosswind on the Sarasin bridge does not push it around. Two-up, the Patong to Kata climb stays smooth. ABS and TCS traction control help in the wet, and in Phuket that is about 5 months a year. Fuel use is around 2.2 litres per 100 km, the tank holds 7.1 litres, range is roughly 320 km.
Staying a month or longer — monthly rental brings it to 183 ฿ per day. Want a smaller deposit — the Honda Click 160 goes out on 2,500 ฿. Want storage for two helmets — the Honda PCX 160 at the same 400 ฿ per day.
The daily rate falls as the rental gets longer. Delivery to 15 areas of Phuket is free, helmet and phone holder are included. The bike carries compulsory Por Ror Bor insurance with limited personal-injury cover; it does not cover damage to the bike itself.

For APARTEL handover, a motorcycle licence does not have to be presented: we may complete the handover after checking identity and taking the cash deposit even if the customer does not present one. That does not authorize public-road riding. The rider remains responsible for the required motorcycle entitlement and, where applicable, an IDP or Thai licence. Police and insurance consequences depend on the circumstances and the applicable contract or policy.
Delivery is free to 15 areas. Bang Tao is handed over in 15–30 minutes, Patong is about 40 minutes of riding from the branch, and Phuket airport HKT about 30 minutes, by advance booking.
