Practical details
Your passport stays with you
The manager checks the details while the cash deposit is fixed by the selected model.
Cash deposit
The amount depends on the model and ranges from 2 500 ฿ to 5 000 ฿. You know it before handover.
Scooter condition
Inspect the scooter with the manager and record its starting condition before the rental begins.
Return
Hand the scooter back in its original condition. APARTEL then returns the cash deposit in full.
The manager completes two separate steps at handover. They check the original passport and photograph the details page, then take the cash deposit set for the selected model. The passport goes straight back to its owner and stays with the renter throughout the rental.
The document check records the renter’s details. You take the passport with you before the ride. APARTEL uses the cash deposit as security for the scooter return and states that amount beside the rental price before handover.
The cash deposit follows the model. Yamaha Fino 125 and Honda Click 160 require 2 500 ฿. Yamaha Grand Filano 125 and the older Yamaha NMAX 155 require 3 000 ฿. Yamaha NMAX 155 from 2022–2024 requires 3 500 ฿. The open table below gives the remaining amounts without a hidden range.

Practical details
Documents, rental period and return
The written terms should match what both sides see at handover.
Bring your passport, category A licence and International Driving Permit. The passport is used for the data check and photograph, then remains with you. A category A licence and IDP are required for lawful motorcycle riding in Thailand. Both rider and passenger must wear a helmet.
APARTEL counts one rental day from 13:00 to 13:00, a full 24 hours. A 30-day rate covers exactly 30 days. The dates, model, rental price, cash deposit and return place are agreed before handover. A manager confirms a new calculation in the chat if the dates change.
Both sides check the scooter again at return. APARTEL returns the deposit in full when the scooter comes back in its original condition. Both sides agree the time and place for the money handover with the scooter return; APARTEL terms do not state a fixed bank-processing period.
Compulsory Por Ror Bor gives limited bodily-injury cover. Damage to the rented scooter falls outside that cover. Check your travel and medical policy terms before riding. This page lists the confirmed APARTEL rental conditions.
Handover in the selected local service zone costs 0 ฿, including a 1-day rental. A manager confirms cost and timing for other Phuket areas in advance. Send the model, dates and address on Telegram or WhatsApp. Requests are accepted every day from 08:00 to 21:00.
The older Yamaha NMAX 155 costs 5 100 ฿ for 30 days with a 3 000 ฿ cash deposit. Yamaha NMAX 155 from 2022–2024 costs 5 500 ฿ for 30 days with a 3 500 ฿ deposit. A Honda PCX 160 monthly rate costs 5 500 ฿ with a 4 000 ฿ deposit. Rental and deposit remain separate amounts.

Does APARTEL keep my passport as a deposit?
With the cash-deposit option, no: APARTEL checks the passport and photographs the details page at handover, then hands it back. The customer can choose the passport option instead.
Does no passport deposit mean there is no cash deposit?
No. A cash deposit is required and ranges from 2 500 ฿ to 5 000 ฿ by model; the renter still keeps the passport.
