Mai Khao is the north where the island is still wild: 11 kilometres of empty beach in Sirinat National Park, casuarina pines, turtle nesting in winter and the famous runway where landing planes pass just dozens of metres above the sand.
Hotels here stand on their own: the nearest restaurants, markets and shops are kilometres away. Taxis charge resort prices and there are no tuk-tuks. A scooter is the only way to live freely in Mai Khao: 10 minutes and you're in Nai Yang with its beachfront restaurants, 30 — at Boat Avenue.
The roads are flat and empty — comfortable even for beginners. For a family with backpacks, a PCX or ADV160 with a rack is more convenient.

Helmet and phone holder are included. The bike carries compulsory Por Ror Bor with limited statutory bodily-injury cover; it does not cover damage to the bike. The longer the rental, the cheaper the day.

The southern end of Mai Khao Beach by the runway threshold — 5 minutes by scooter from the hotels. The best time is midday, when long-haul flights land.
